Available to all customers from January 2007, Document Director has been specifically developed for designing bespoke templates and documents created from Cameo data. It bridges the Windows to Cameo gap, allowing the Cam operator to take control of their own specific design and print requirements.
A Windows based application, Document Director eliminates issues with Windows printing, allowing operators to print to standard laser or inkjet printers. Documents can be created to include any data extracted from Cameo.
The new product can help reduce stationary design and printing costs but primarily gives the freedom to control the look and feel of documents and paperwork.
Document Director inserts or moves pictures, watermarks, and fields in a very flexible way, with finished designs looking like pre-printed documents. It supports multiple layouts and can print multi-copy documents from different printers simultaneously.
Another important feature is the ability of the user to email, export or fax any document directly, with the relevant status and action being recorded in Cameo.
Document Director will support barcode printing and convert documents to a variety of formats such as .PDF / .JPEG / .HTML / .XML / .XLS. However, you will need the resident application present if you then decide you want to modify the documents in any way.
The software expands Cam Systems suite of added value products and is costed to include installation and configuration, a standard suite of templates, introductory training and ongoing Helpline technical support which will cover minor document modifications. Detailed bespoke modifications will require formal specification and sign off and could incur additional configuration cost.
